blood serum preparation

Hi
 can any body help me to find different techniques to seperate serum from blood
please refer some books and sites

If you really must have serum collect the blood into glass tubes , plastic tubes are very slow to clot, it needs a water wettable surface to disrupt the platelets  and initiate the clotting process. you then need to let it stand for some time to let the fibrin retract.
what do you want to measure?

i want to measure the clotting time of about 2ml of blood in 1.air 2. with clotting agent
on a polycabonate plastic
